Their heritage is magic, their quest truth. Every culture has nurtured or condemned them. They lead humanity to the far horizon and beyond. They are Mages, the inventors of sorcery, science and faith. For centuries they have battled to define existence and lead humanity to an enlightened age. Now, in an age when technology is humanity's magic, the magicians of yesteryear's mystic Traditions fight for survival and the key to the cosmos itself — Ascension.

The Ascension War Is Not Over

Bellingham is nigh unto a Metropolis that has grown far beyond its capacity, and become corrupted with decay and entropy. The Technocracy wars with itself while the Nephandi rot from within. The Traditions have remained idle, assuming their war lost.

Meet & Greet & FAQ Session With The Ascension Staff:

WHEN: October 12th, 2008, Six O'Clock P.M.
WHERE: Bond Hall, Floor One (Auditorium closest to the elevators)
WHAT:

On October 12th, the Ascension Staff will be hosting a Meet & Greet & FAQ session for anyone interested in playing in Ascension: City of Subdued Excitement. We will be describing the theme and setting of the game and hosting a question answer session. Books will be brought ahead of time so that if anyone wants to arrive early, they are welcome to read through many of the older Mage books that are more difficult to find (the staff will arrive earlier than six o'clock).

In addition, it will be an opportunity to meet other players in the Ascension game and form cabals or merge histories if desired.

Finally, bring your concept background and attempt at a sheet if you have it, because the Mage staff will be approving Characters at this Meet & Greet before the night is over. If time permits it, we may even run Preludes at the Meet & Greet or possibly Coffee at IHOP afterwards.

Ascension: Chapter One

WHEN: October 26th, 2008, 4:30-9:30pm
WHERE: Maritime Heritage Park The Chapter will primarily take place in the amphitheater behind Old City Hall. There is free parking all around the park on Sundays. If there is any confusion about the setting, please reply here or PM me on mage.bellinghamlarp.com (magetype) and I will further clarify the directions.

WHAT:

Mage: Opening Day. We will NOT be doing character approvals at the site of the game, so come prepared, there is ample time to get a character approved before the game starts.
